EOL Announcement: Ratoc Systems Ultra and Ultra-Wide SCSI Adapters

FireWire to SCSISynchrotech regrets to inform our customers that the popular Ratoc Systems, International, Inc. SCSI host adapter products are now at End Of Life (EOL).

Ratoc's PCMCIA PC CardBus to Ultra SCSI Adapters Mac/PC are no longer available. Ratoc recently informed us the main controller chip used to make their SCSI products has discontinued. We're sorry to announce this device is no longer available.

Ratoc's FireWire IEEE 1394 to Ultra SCSI Converter is no longer available. Ratoc recently informed us the main controller chip used to make their SCSI products has discontinued. We're sorry to announce this device is no longer available.

There is still limited stock on the Ratoc USB 2.0 to Ultra SCSI Converter and USB 2.0 to Ultra Wide SCSI Converter U2SCX-LVD devices.

New FAQ: Considerations for Ratoc's FireWire and USB 2.0 to SCSI Adapters

Ratoc FireWire and USB to SCSI Host AdaptersRecently there has been a shift in interest from internal SCSI host adapters SCSI host adapters utilizing external busses like high performance FireWire and prosaic USB. While Ratoc's FireWire and USB to SCSI adapters have been on the market for quite some time, they are beginning to grow in popularity since they are an inexpensive and accessible way to work with older SCSI devices. This FAQ document is intended to clear up some of the confusion over deploying Ratoc adapters with SCSI devices.
