SxS PRO Device Drivers

We have not tested any of our PCIe to ExpressCard readers with Sony/Sandisk's SxS Pro ExpressCards, but we understand that drivers are required on both The Windows and Mac OS X platforms in order to use the SxS Pro ExpressCards.

Can the Sony SxS cards be hot-swapped without rebooting/scanning for new hardware?

this is what the factory suggested:

Please try the following,
1. Please insert Expresscard into adapter first before turning on the system. Check whether the Expresscard will be hot-swapable afterwards.
2. If the card is hot swapable, please try other expresscards whether they are hot-swapable, too.

Please let us know the result.

Has anyone tested this with a option wireless GT ultra express. I am thinking of using it for a network.

This reader writer is not hot swappable with the Sony SxS cards, you will need to reboot after inserting one if used on a Mac Pro. Other adapter cards such as E-films MxR will hot swap perfectly.
